Thank you,Donna. Such a magnificent piece and you played it beautifully. It is hearing those of you who play so well that keeps me going with my work on the first certificate. Isabella
Welcome back! It is hard to play a guitar with a broken arm! Glad you are back with the program and I wish you much success.
I live in Vermont as well and am a beginning student. When we get some practice behind us let’s think about meeting up and playing together.
All the best,
Jim, I believe that in Italian “Con Anima” means “With Soul.” And that certainly comes through in this piece. What a pleasure it was to listen and pretend that I could follow the music!:) When you said that writing music is something that you are good at….I would say that is an understatement!
Marvelous is a word I would use as I marveled…[Read more]
Awwwww, Rick. How beautifully you played and what a joy it is to listen and watch. You have mastered so much. If only having your last name could bring me into your league!! Thank you for the marvelous performance.
Michael….You are amazing! How did you play so beautifully with the background comments going on? I saw a hint of a smile on your face but you didn’t miss a beat. I love the singing accompaniment. Good for you!
Paul….Your playing was superb! Seeing you, and other like you, play is what gives me hope as I struggle in Grade One trying to get my second and third figures stretched wide enough to play E and F!!!
The pieces you played were beautiful and I watched and listened with awe and appreciation.
All the best in your continued studies,
Awwwww, Drew, this is so beautiful. It is a lovely piece and you have mastered it with such feeling. I am putting this on my “aspire to” list. Thank you so much for sharing.

What a beautiful piece, Scot. You played it beautifully. It is playing like yours that made me want to learn the classical guitar. Now if I can only learn out to play as you do! Congratulations! Isabella Lord
Thanks everyone regarding the rusting of strings. My guitar is only a few months old and I am a beginner student. What I thought was rust may just be discoloration. I live in Vermont so not much change of salt air getting to the strings. The sound is good so I must be over reacting as I love my new guitar and don’t want anything to go wrong with it!
Welcome, Manuel. I hope your beautiful country is recovering and I applaud your desire to learn classical guitar. I am a REAL beginner to playing and am thankful to have found CGC. I have no doubt that you will realize your dreams if you follow the lesson format and communicate with Simon and Dave when you have questions. Best wishes on your journey.
Welcome to CGC, Randy. You are already very far along in your playing and I think you will enjoy the help you get from Simon and Dave. I grew up in Alabama and never knew anyone who played the classical guitar. Good for you.
