Welcome to the CGC Coaching Calls!

As a Premium Member of the CGC Academy, you have access to live teaching sessions where you are welcome to ask for help on whatever you might be working on. These sessions will be scheduled regularly throughout each week and you can drop in at any time during the coaching calls.

Please be gracious to the teachers and your fellow members during these sessions and be aware of time constraints should there be a backlog of students with questions.

You are welcome to listen to the sessions without participating, with or without your video.

As a new initiative, the Coaching Calls will change and adapt as needed to suit students and teachers alike. For now, please enjoy this wonderful opportunity to connect easily, and directly to world class classical guitar teachers!

Instructions:

Here at CGC we use Zoom Meetings to run our live sessions. This is free software that is similar to Skype. Click one of the links below you will be connected to the correlating meeting room. If you do not have the software yet, you will be prompted to download it.

If you want to participate actively you will need a camera and microphone in your computer, phone, or tablet. You do not need anything fancy as our marvelous modern technology has very sufficient equipment in most devices these days.

You will have the ability to turn your microphone and camera on or off during the session.

Replays of the sessions will be available in the Forum for Premium Members to watch. Please allow up to 48 hours for the replays to be posted.

A few questions answered:

Q: Can I ask for feedback on repertoire that isn’t in the CGC Curriculum?

A: Yes, you are welcome to ask about any and all repertoire, exercises, techniques, and other issues related to classical guitar.

Q: How long will I get to work with the teacher?

A: This will depend on your question, and also how many people might be waiting. These are not like “Skype” lessons where you work with the teacher for a long period of time, but rather a great way to check in and ask a quick question on what you are working on right now. Expect your discussions to be between 5 and 15 minutes long. Of course, you are very welcome to stay and listen to other questions be answered.

Q: How many sessions can I attend?

A: You may attend as many as you like, but please be considerate of other people and if you have had several recent sessions a first timer might be invited to go ahead of you.
