I thought I would check this morning to see if there was a new CGC Member’s Podcast and there was! A great way to start my day and another great interview. I enjoyed hearing Pat Sorenson’s guitar journey and about her life. I think that is one of the outstanding things about the podcast: getting to know more than just a face for a member of our wonderful community. Pat has a wonderful way of telling a story. Thank you again, Pat and Roger.

Another great podcast…thanks Roger and Pat! Especially enjoyed your discussion about the joy in revisiting pieces with newly acquired skills. Such a pleasure getting to know CGC members “behind the strings.” Pat…I graduated Boston U. almost 50 years ago and spent years in Boston and have family in Lexington. Peabody and Danvers… very familiar with your beautiful neck of the woods!
This was liking having guests over for tea. How nice to hear and learn more about Pat. That is so cool that Pat has guitars spread about her home. I also enjoy cycling through different scaled guitars in the course of a day.
Many thanks to Roger and Pat!
Great to hear about the journey. Hope to meet you both at summer school. I work in Massachusetts and would like to meet up and play some duets with others in the area. I’m a relative newby and too shy to endure the stress of grade exams. By June I’ll probably be starting Grade 4
Thank you Pat and Roger! Your chat was comfortable and charming for me on a rainy winter day. Pat your journey with music is a joy to experience, I admire your expression, community engagement, and generosity of spirit. Great work Roger. Happy playing All.
Another awesome podcast. Pat, I really enjoyed hearing your story and am jealous you live so close to Endicott College. No flying with your guitar! I liked your assessment of scale length and nut width. Interesting how it takes a bit of time to adapt between different size guitars.
Thanks for another great podcast, Roger! It’s a good thing you’re doing for the community. I enjoyed hearing Pat’s story and how despite whatever twist and turns life presented, she kept returning to the guitar.
Such an awesome podcast, Roger! I was so curious about the Bogdanovic that I needed to go take a listen, So fun!! I’m very aware of prepared piano compositions but have never heard anything for prepared guitar! Thank you for introducing us to the piece! And the interview with Pat was a great listen – it seemed like you were both having a reunion! One of the draws for me of joining CGC, aside from the information, was the community, and I really looked forward to the summer school. COVID took care of that just as soon as I joined. So, I look forward to finally meeting you both this summer!
It was really fun to hear the two of you chatting and I’m looking forward to seeing both of you again at Summer School. We’re all so lucky to be able to drive to Endicott!! And how cool was it to meet up at Simon’s concert?
