So enjoyed this CGC podcast journey with Gregory-with lots of chuckles along the way– always so much to relate to and to learn from—thank-you Roger, Simon and Gregory!
Thank you for sharing your cool, jazzy conversation, Roger and Greg! I enjoyed getting to know the secret behind Greg’s improvisational, playful spirit. The Quick Chat with Simon was also super interesting with great news. Good luck Simon for getting ready for your concert! And keep being awesomissimo, Roger :)
Hi again, Roger, this is an edit to my comment. I just realised that Simon’s recent concert already took place. I look forward to hearing about how it went, Simon :)
Hi Roger, Thanks for sharing another great interview with Simon and Greg!
It sounds like some fun and interesting things are coming our way in April! :)
Greg, it was a pleasure listening to your story, and to hear that you are thoroughly enjoying your studies here at CGC.

Thank You Roger and Greg.
I have known Greg only from one side ( video CGC ) so far. I didn’t know that You was so involved with music before your retirement so much. Now I know why You like musical experiments/improvisations. Respect Greg.
Hi Rodger – Very nice episode with Simon and Gregory. I hope Simon’s concert went well. Greg, thanks for sharing your story. It is really nice to hear the stories behind the names on the site. Keep it up!
I was intrigued by the comment by Gregory that Matin d’hiver and Barcarolle were basically the same melody, just transposed. I just can’t hear it! They sound so very different. Probably this shows how little I understand music theory and how hard it is to relate it to musical intuition.
It’s great to have your podcast back, Roger! Even though we have never met, I feel like I am getting together with an old friend when I sit down to listen. It sounded like you are not familiar with the world of Drum Corps. You have an amazing corps right in your neck of the woods. The Spartans, who are based in Nashua, NH. My daughter toured with them last summer and they are awesome to watch. I encourage you to check them out at one of their local performances of you get a chance.
What a great interview, Roger! Gregory it was so much fun to hear your story and your lively telling of it! I remember when I first joined CGC I thought I would never be able to play some of the pieces I was hearing, and now all of the sudden I’m in Grade 5 playing music that was on my shiny objects list!! Thanks Simon! And everyone else at the academy!

Hi Roger and Gregory,
Great podcast! Gregory, loved hearing your various musical experiences. I’ve played mostly stringed instruments, but have dabbled in trumpet and got into some Jamey Abersold’s work on ear training and such. I was introduced to chord-melody playing at about 10 years old from my first guitar teacher- it’s great stuff. I didn’t know much about you before, but now I do! Roger, you are a master at getting us to know the details and stories of our collective members, and how they think and learn. Inspiring and mind-expanding. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much Roger for doing this podcast. I completely related to Gregory’s comment about wanting to play beautifully whatever he played, and that he wanted to be able to read music. Two of my main goals as well. Thank you for inspiring me!
Another great podcast. So grateful for Niki’s new course! Gregory – I really enjoyed hearing about your musical journey. Thank you, Roger, for another fun podcast!
