Member Challenges
Making progress on the classical guitar can often feel like a turtle race: it’s a long road that takes discipline and daily work. However, it’s also important to set smaller, more achievable goals to keep you motivated and on track to reach your more long-term goals. To that end, CGC Academy hosts member challenges each season. These challenges only last for three to four weeks, giving you the opportunity to set and stick to small, achievable goals. Each challenge has a different focus: for instance, scales or left-hand arpeggios. All info (including sign-ups) and all past challenges are accessible here.
Coaching Calls
Coaching Calls are live teaching sessions where you are welcome to ask for help on whatever you might be working on. These sessions will be scheduled regularly throughout each week and you can drop in at any time during the Coaching Calls.
You are welcome to listen to the sessions without participating, with or without your video.
Schedule your session here.
CGC Summer School
The CGC Summer School is an annual summer workshop held at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts in the USA and brings together dedicated amateur guitarists from around the country (and around the world!) to work on their technique, theory, musicianship, ensemble skills, and general musical understanding. There are group ensembles, individual lessons, workshops, large ensemble, musical analysis, and socializing with other guitarists over the course of a week. The CGC Summer School brings in world-class teachers and performers for you to work with on both a one-on-one and group basis.

Meetups
Whenever Simon and Dave travel we often try and meet up in person with members of CGC Academy. These are chances for us to hang out and get to know one another and generally are informal and don’t involve playing guitar. Look out in the Forum for meetups in your area!

CGC Calendar
All events, including occasional events not listed here, are also accessible on the CGC Calendar.
