What a wonderful episode you put together, I am all smiles listening to the stories and laughter you gathered, all fresh and raw from each day of our special week. Thank you so much for everything you have done to share the Summer School 2023 experience with everyone online. We are truly fortunate to have you with us.
This was a really helpful podcast. I am about to go for a guitar summer school in Iserlohn in Germany (https://guitarsymposium.de/en/start/) in one week, and I was wondering what it is going to be like. Hearing about the way people struggled with the ensemble and their strategies (just play part of the chord) was helpful mental preparation for the summer school. I hope to some day come to the CGC summer school, I think I have to wait till I get a kidney transplant as organizing diaysis is too complicated in the US.
Thank you so much for the wonderful summer school podcast, Roger! It really gave me a taste of what it was like to be there. All the different perspectives brought the experience to life. I’m inspired to find a way to go next year.
I feel like I participated in every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Oh, and the guitar stuff too. Many thanks to you and the 12 participants for sharing your experiences.
Roger – congratulations on capturing the essence of CGCA summer school in the conversations with the 12 participants. Many thanks to them for candidly sharing their thoughts. I’m inspired, excited, and honestly a bit intimidated with the notion of attending when I can play competently enough to consider doing so. Wishing you a wonderful summer podcasting break!
Thank you so much Roger for encapsulating the summer school experience. It was such a positive experience, I learned SO much, and really enjoyed meeting all of those people that I had only experienced online – you included! Have a great summer and thank you again! Brent
Thank you, Roger, for another inspiring episode. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing your and other students’ experiences at Summer School. Thanks to all for sharing.
Thanks for the episode and the pictures, Roger!
(I never did see a single person lie in that hammock, they were too busy rushing off to lessons, concerts and interviews..)
Thanks Roger, for taking the time to capture wonderful Summer School memories on the fly, as it were. Enjoy the rest of your summer – you’ve earned a break, and we’ll look forward to hearing your wonderful laugh again this fall. Warm regards, Mark

Summer School ’24 is about a month away and I am going. It is taking me way out of my comfort zone and this podcast has been wonderfully helpful.
