Thank you for the wonderful stories, Gayathri. The opening about the Mount Diablo was so beautiful – golden hills, earth shadow, all in your back yard. Best wishes for your musical and other activities.
Roger, thank you for bringing in our super Niki this week. The two boys at the end were so funny! They both have great voices, too. Please have them back again!

Thank you Roger for the lovely conversations, Niki is always a delightful person and inspiration. At the very end of the podcast the sign-off is funny with the mystery guest. Gayathri, thank you for your wonderful conversation with Roger. It is a joy to learn about your family and journey. As a not so far away neighbor, I look forward to getting together after the pandemic. Your passion for music is contagious! I wish you well.
Gayathri,
It was a joy to listen to your journey. Thank you for sharing your story. It was an honor to be part of a quartet with you, Meru, and Ivan. I look forward to hearing your original composition one day đ.
Roger,
Great to hear from Niki =). Congrats Niki on your resent concert and your newly released masterclass!
And as for the two gentlemen at the end of the podcast, you’re definitely a lot of treble and I want to hear more of your musings. đŒđđ€Ș Hey, maybe add a mystery guest three so that you can call yourselves the three trebles. (Ps: don’t you dare read this in your podcast!)
Once again, Roger, another great walkabout with your podcast. It’s getting to be a whimsical memory exercise . . . “oh, there’s the oak tree that I saw when Roger interviewed so-and-so.” You have ensouled the landscape! I much enjoyed hearing Gayathri, who reminded me of the Choroi pentatonic flutes. I once taught those to children in first grade. I must have one around here somewhere!
Your descriptions of Mt. Diablo were so inspiring. Iâm really in to rocks, and like hearing other people appreciate mountains too. I also really like the sound of your pentatonic flute. What a great way to learn improvisation. I hope you continue to enjoy making music with your family.
Niki, you are always awesome. Congrats on your concert. Sounds like lots of fun.
Roger, another great interview. Youâll have to bring Robert back again. You two are like click ânâ clack. Is âguitar-talkâ already a thing?
Roger, Another delightful podcast, many thanks. It was a pleasure to enjoy your company in my living room as I knit socks. Nicki, your online concert was a joy to see and hear, thank you and congratulations. Gayathri, it is nice to know more about you and I was led to take an online tour of Mount Diablo which reminded me of great times spent in your beautiful state. It must feel like a special blessing to see the mountain from your back yard. Your performances are always full of beauty and grace and the role music plays in the life of your family is inspiring.
The banter at the end with a nice cameo from Robert was a nice chaser, I liked those “character” actor voices.
Thanks for another great listen, Roger.
Gayathri, I really enjoyed hearing about your musical journey. I loved the sound of the pentatonic flute. I look forward to hearing more from you and from Meru. Good luck with your venture into composing!

Thanks for another wonderful podcast Roger! Niki is right, you have a super power in making people feel comfortable and welcomed.
Niki, your workshop is great. Although the music is above my playing ability I am learning so much.
Gayathri, it was a pleasure to hear your stories. I have mountains in my view as well and I understood exactly what you meant when you said the view changes as the light changes. :)
I remember your duet challenge with your daughter and Kari blew me out of the water, it was so good! Happy studies with grade four!

Thank you Roger and Gayathri for a wonderful podcast. Loved hearing about Gayathriâs musical journey. I teach several homeschooled children – itâs wonderful that kids get school credit for their music lessons. I also enjoy the teacher comradery from the parents.
Gayathri I thoroughly enjoyed learning about your life and especially your musical life. I had to look up Mount Diablo and I can see how that magnificent view is wonderful to view daily. I also am now looking into a pentatonic flute and am investigating the Shakuhachi flute which I’d heard played long ago and fell in love with. I cannot understand where you find the time caring for three, home schooling, and learning the classical guitar. You are a dynamo!

Great episode. What a handful Gayathri has with three kids at such different stages of life. Hats off to her!
