Yes, that was smooth and had a good tone to it. It’s really starting to sound good and you seem relaxed. Your performance also pointed out to me that although I practice slowly I always want to perform fast. So I’m taking a page out of your book and will perform slower.

You sound very smooth Diane. I too have had left hand pain and have started stretching and massaging my hand as well as practicing more frequently but shorter time periods. It has made a big difference. There is a book “Playing with Ease” by David Leisner that I’ve been working through that has also given me good advise and might help you.
I’m learning so much on this challenge:
o I stretch and massage both hands before and after practicing – no more hand pain!
o As Dave recommended, do smaller, more precise goals – break even these few bars down to smaller segments
o I buzz or numb out a string when I fall off my finger tips so I’ve spent some time just working that

Deb you’re doing great. I’m finding it takes more time for me to learn and reliably replay the piece I’m learning. The challenge has made me pay more attention to every little thing and I think you are experiencing the same. Keep going, I think you are doing well.
I’ve spent more time this week on the left hand issue including shorter practice sessions, exercises, stretching, noticing posture while playing, and more! I’m not sure that I’ve made much progress on this section but I can play without pain so that’s something!

I would like to get some feedback and tips regarding my left hand positioning (and any other posture help). I have the current challenge for grade 3 of Estudio by Sor measures 17-22 and grade 3’s Allegretto No 5 by Guiliana m1-7 that particularly stress my hand.
A month ago I switched to a Sageworks support and I do find it to be better than the THREE others I’ve used. I took my time with installation.
