These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites and services operated by Powis Studios LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including classicalguitarcorner.com, classical.guitarcorneracademy.com, and cgcpublishing.com, together with the CGC Academy membership and any books, courses, and community features we offer (the “Services”). By using our Services or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Who may use the Services

You must be at least the age of majority in your place of residence to create an account or make a purchase. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Your membership is personal to you and may not be shared, sold, or transferred to anyone else. Please tell us promptly at support@classicalguitarcorner.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Membership and billing

CGC Academy is a paid membership offered on the plans and at the prices shown on our site at the time you join. By starting a membership, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your chosen payment method for the plan you select.

Automatic renewal. Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period (for example, quarterly or annually) at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your membership and access remain active through the end of the period you have already paid for, and are not prorated.

Refunds. Memberships may be refunded within 30 days of the initial purchase by contacting support@classicalguitarcorner.com. Renewals and any signup beyond the initial purchase are not refundable.

Price changes. We may change our prices from time to time. We will give you reasonable notice before a new price takes effect.

Purchases from the publishing store

Books, sheet music, and other materials sold through cgcpublishing.com are licensed to you for your own personal use. Because these are digital products delivered immediately, sales are generally final except where a refund is required by law or stated in the product’s own terms.

Our content and intellectual property

All content we provide, including lessons, videos, recordings, sheet music, books, exercises, text, graphics, and the design of our sites, is owned by Powis Studios LLC or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Your membership gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use this content for your own learning while your membership is active. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, publicly perform or display, share login access to, or post our content anywhere else, in whole or in part, without our written permission. Materials you download, such as PDFs, are for your personal use only.

Content you post

Our community features let you post messages, journals, recordings, and other content. You keep ownership of what you post, but you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and share it within the Services so the community can function. You are responsible for the content you post, you confirm you have the right to share it, and you agree to follow our Code of Conduct. We may remove content or restrict accounts that breach these Terms or that Code.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services. This includes not sharing your account, not attempting to access content or areas you are not entitled to, not copying or scraping content, not harassing or harming other members, and not using the Services for any unlawful purpose.

Third-party services and links

We use third-party providers to run the Services, including payment processors such as Stripe, PayPal, and Shopify. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms. Our sites may link to other websites we do not control, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers

We care deeply about helping you make progress, but learning an instrument depends on many things, including your own practice. The Services and all content are provided “as is,” and we do not guarantee any specific result, outcome, or level of achievement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Powis Studios LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Powis Studios LLC from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Services or your breach of these Terms.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or our Code of Conduct. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive, such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will continue to apply after your account ends.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will note them on this page and update the date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute relating to these Terms or the Services will be handled in the courts located in Texas.
