Wow, Scott. This is going to be a really fun piece to play =)
I like how you are actively trying to keep your left hand relaxed (whether consciously or not), great work there.
This work is pretty exciting and what a fast slur exercise!!! Whew!
I really like your G7 line-up. Oooowa, I’m so excited. So, will I be cueing up the popcorn for a…[Read more]
You’re spot on, Mark. I love the “add-a-note” technique and will employ it in this instance for sure. It’s a hell of a jump. I’m also employing that pregaze, spot the destination location before planting. I’ll slow everything all down to a snail speed for now. No need to go “fast.” Its all about accuracy and I’m probably at too fast of a tem…[Read more]

JULIE WATSON!!! That was WONDERFUL! Congratulations on such an outstanding first composition. It was gorgeous!!
Daniel did an outstanding job. And I can’t wait to hear it from your fingers. 🤗 Happy learning and playing this beautiful expression from your heart.
Like you, I have also been watching a few other Bernstein’s videos: What is a Melody; and Musical Atoms, a study of Intervals. Both excellent.
Now just picture Simon and sixty plus guitars as the orchestra. Let the camera’s roll…..wait, wasn’t that something called Summer School 😉😃.
