Solid start to Grade 3, Robert!
You do a good job bringing out the lovely base melody in Snowflight. You can try more contrasting dynamics, softer softs, louder fortes, to bring out more dramatic effect. But that is just me nitpicking. You really play it beautifully.
Loved your Lesson 19. You are flying! It was very fluid.
What an incredible link. I’ve started flipping through one online issue already. It’s going to be so much fun reading these magazines.
Thank you! It’s going to keep me busy for months!!
And you’re right about the pictures, breathtaking!
Keep your steady practice schedule and create small specific targeted goals. Work on specific issues for a longer duration of time and record yourself to see the improvements.
I look forward to see the growth in your playing. Have a wonderful journey in G3!
Now go celebrate all your hard work!

Three cheers and celebration time.
G3, here you come 😄!
Niiiiice job in Part 1, Scott. Beautifully done.
Very flowing left hand work. Really smooth transitions.
Now that I witnessed all your hard work paying off…excuse me, I’ve got to go practice immediately. Sheesh.

Great feedback, Tim. Congratulations moving into Grade 5!
The camp that you mentioned in your journal sounds like an excellent opportunity!
I’m really excited about what you will do in this grade and beyond.
“I’ll be staring at the same sheet of music for a long period of time.” Yep, welcome to my world. It’s a test of tenacity. You’re creative enough to figure out some cool exercises to freshen up the content. I wish you success as you dig deep for the long haul.
I’m interested in what you said about sight reading. Currently, I’m working t…[Read more]

Take care of yourself. Donna and Deb gave some wonderful advice. Mark Campbell is going through a rough spot of tendonitis. He posts some things he is doing to recover in his progress journal. There are…[Read more]
What a rich and wonderful post, Barbara! Congratulations to you for taking concrete steps toward all your goals.
I have attended two Marlow Guitar concerts thus far and loved them both. And I’m over the moon you will be able to see Rick play.
I echo Martha, you are on a wonderful track.
