Another gym visit, another podcast! Fantastic to hear all these wonderful compositions, all so varied, each unique, and each inspired by an event or surrounding. As the other Richard says, amazing! Thank you for bringing this all together, Roger.
Enjoy your time off, Roger. I am totally amazed at how you have so selflessly and compassionately kept these podcasts going. Everyone benefits so much from them. You have the “awesome” category definitely Checked!
Congratulations on your 2nd composer’s episode, Roger, and thank you so much for offering this fun and special experience for us. I very much enjoyed everyone’s compositions and performances. And, for Roger, I definitely checked the “awesomissimo” category and added ”molto, molto” in front of it! Wishing you a great summer and a good break.
Roger, thanks very much for coordinating this Composer’s podcast. I’m pretty blown away by the talent everyone displayed here. Congratulations everyone! I hope you enjoy a well-earned break from podcasting. This is such a selfless service you provide to the community.
I did not hear the first CGCA composer’s episode and have been looking forward to this episode. So …I turned off the tv put on my headphones on and was prepared to enjoy a pleasant hour. I wasn’t prepared to be amazed. I hope this becomes a tradition. So many talented members! Many thanks for sharing your compositions.
Such an enchanting hour of music!
Roger, both composer episodes are very special musical gifts to the CGCA community. Thank you for your service in organizing and putting them together. And big thanks to the composers who shared their wonderful talents.
Hi Roger and Everyone, Thank you composers for your fascinating pieces! I enjoyed each work. Roger, thank you for bringing this collection together. Keep going All, I want to hear more!
You did a great balancing act of arranging the varied compositions in this marvellous exposition. I especially liked the diversity of instruments and points of view you put together which I hope encourages the members who participated and those who may be thinking of having a shot at it next time around. A personal thanks from moi for being included; I’m honoured to be part of this group of composers you’ve given a voice to.
On another note to the members, if you have personal favourites and you haven’t done so already, I’d encourage you to send along a personal note to those whose pieces you liked, particularly those budding composers who may be just getting their feet wet. Live composers, song writers, film composers etc. quite often are invisible, hidden behind the scenes producing magic we may hear on a daily basis. This comes with the territory, unfortunately. Not-yet-famous performers, guitarists, singers etc. have a hard enough time getting recognition so one can imagine how it may be for many newer composers thirsting for the occasional (sincere!) pat on the back.
Roger and Composers,
Congratulations on a wonderful performance by all. Roger, I have to also chime in with recognition of your awesomeness. Seems to be your superpower! And I am in awe of the talent of the composers and the beauty of them playing their own compositions. Jj has an excellent idea of sending some individual notes. I hope your time off is restful and restorative. Thank you for what I know is a great deal of work you put into the podcasts. Hope to see you at some of the live events.
Best Wishes,
Bob
I am blown away! So many good compositions, you all did a wonderful job and each piece reflects your authenticity, your stories, and your love for the guitar!
Roger, you are just awesome! Thank you so much for this podcast! There is so much talent in the CGCA membership – so much inspiration and love for the art of creating and performing music. Congratulations to everyone with the hopes of continuing the joy of sharing music! Brent
Roger! This was so fantastic! Every single one of the pieces could be used in a movie score…say maybe a Wes Anderson quirky movie. I loved the creativity of everyone. I am familiar with most of you so It’s so fun to listen to these compositions. Super impressed with everyone! Fun knowing that Pianofingers has transitioned to J Jay. Noted. Loved the score!
Bruce on guitar and Marian on Deutschland spoken work brought me to tears and laughter! Tanz de La Orange indeed!
Bravo and brava everyone!!!

This composer’s episode is a reminder of the outstanding creativity and inspiration found within our community. It is a joy to be part of a community filled with the desire to explore the many parts of ourselves that make music; a community that inspires one another to keep growing into our unique selves. Thank you Roger for creating the member podcast!
A year ago, I sat out on my front step in the evening sunshine and listened to Roger’s first composer podcast. It was wonderful. In doing so, I set in train a mini-tradition for myself. I vowed that if Roger established his own new tradition – a CGC composer podcast every year – then I would sit out on the front step again the following year, in the glorious, bright, luminous, evening sunshine. No other ‘venue’ would do. Well, Roger did establish a new tradition, and, at last, the conditions this evening were propitious.
And it was magnificent. Bravi to everyone involved: composers, guitarists, flautists, pianists, French hornists, clarinetists, vocalists, cellists (albeit virtual) – what a cornucopia. And of course, to you, Roger. Thank you all.
Wow! I’m amazed at everyone’s compositions! This is a fun podcast, thanks Roger for putting this together!!!
