Thank you for a Great episode!
I want to by a copy of the sight reading book Simon is working on when it is for sale. I try to teach my students to sight read and I am looking for a good sight reading book for the classical guitar so that I am really looking forward to.
Wise quotes and encouring words from Drew and Rogers talk, very nice to listen to.

I’m so glad you are doing the podcasts again Roger, you are so good at it, and it seems like it is an important addition to our community. :) It was wonderful to hear more of your story Drew!
I like the podcast a lot, Roger. Thanks for renewing it. As a new member, catching up on the ‘back issues’ is how I learned who’s who around here, about CGC’s history, and in combination with Simon’s podcast, about the CG world in general. Great fun.
Exciting news from the team this episode. I’m looking forward to it all.
Welcome back Roger! All is right with the world now that the academy’s spiritual loungeroom is back on the pod waves. Great to hear Drew’s calming presence bringing us that gentle encouragement we might not have thought we needed. It was 90 plus minutes that felt like 20. Good job!
What a great comeback Roger! I really enjoyed this episode. It resonated with me in so many ways. The points you and Simon touched on about circling back to earlier grades and exploring more music outside of the curriculum is something I started doing not to long ago and it’s been very satisfying. It was also a pleasure hearing more about Drew and his journey. He’s always been very positive and encouraging when he visits my progress journal. Looking forward to the next podcast.
HIS AWESOMENESS is back, and we’re all so happy he is! Thank you Roger, for picking this back up. It was wonderful listening to 5 of my favorite CGC celebrities at one go. Drew, the Sage of CGC, is always a delight and full of inspiration; it was great to hear Simon confirm that he’s been given a clean bill of health and is continuing to evolve the Academy apace; huge congrats to Niki for the composition win – wow!; and always wonderful to hear from “Papa” Dave (the paternal sobriquet seems fitting as our go-to for support). Looking forward to “The Big Reveal” when Niki dishes the details on summer school. So good to have you back my friend!
Hurray! Roger is back!! Thank you for a most wonderful comeback podcast, Roger! It’s so great to get the updates from Simon, Niki, and Dave. I’m excited about Simon’s plan for horizontal growth in guitar repertoire and the publication of the new sight reading book. Thank you ,Drew, for sharing your story and your thoughts. I love this: “Don’t let the small minds of this culture dictate the size of your expression.”
It’s so good to have you back, Roger! and what a treat to hear from Simon and Dave and Niki, and our special guest, Drew! I’ve missed these podcasts. They were always so enjoyable to listen to on my walks. Thanks for bringing them back!
It’s so awesome that the CGCA Member’s Podcast is back. I didn’t realize how much I missed it. I was all like “it wasn’t really that great”, but that was a coping mechanism…in reality it was that great and it continues to be that great. Thanks, Roger, for everything you do. I don’t know how you have the time and energy. Drew, it was a pleasure to hear you again. Currently the bookends to the Member’s Podcast, though there will be more. Also great to hear from Simon, Niki, and Dave.
Yeh, the members podcast is back! We missed you Roger so good to have you back and what a delight hearing your interview with Drew. Have very fond memories of sharing a music stand during ensemble rehearsals with Drew when he came to Australia and I really enjoyed listening to his story.
It is a joy to have Roger back at CGC. He is an inspiration to all. I’m really glad that the Member Podcasts have started again. A wonderful restart with Drew’s conversation with you. I enjoyed hearing his personal history, his career as a art teacher, and his guitar story. The talent of CGC people never fails to amaze and humble me. Such as Drew making his own guitar as a start to his playing classical guitar. I’m eager to hear future podcasts. Best of fortune to you, Roger, in your return to guitar and to CGC podcasts. Thank you. You are Awesome.

Thanks for the podcast! Very inspirational.
awesome podcast Roger! thanks..
great quote from simon: “you are really only 1 fret away from the right note”. I’ll remember this one on my next live exam.
niki should be a politician the way she was gracefully deflected all of Roger’s questions about the summer school!
thanks Drew for sharing your story!

I’m so glad to have both Roger and the podcast back at CGCA. Will have to dust off my podcast app and give it a listen this week… :-)
Podding with Roger this morning and smiling ear-to-ear. I sure missed this. THANK YOU.
