This is amazing job Ghizaline,
you play very fast, I also chose to play this piece in this challenge but couldn’t make it this fast yet.
I will be following to see if u could achieve even a higher speed.
Thank you Niki,
Glad to see your comments on my videos.
For the right hand tension, maybe I was concentrating on making my left smooth and relaxed as it was the challenging part for me from the beginning but I forgot about the right hand, I tried to make it more relaxed this time.
Thank you for pointing the right hand position too as I didn’t…[Read more]
Thank you Rojer!
Today I played the piece with speed of 92 BPM.
One of the challenges with high speeds is processing and thinking about the following notes so I can prepare for them. Usually I depend on my muscle memory but if it fails I take more time to remember the next note and take the decision which can slow me down, it could be because…[Read more]
This week I played the piece with speed 76 BPM.
Little changes, I added small vibrato in the 2 D notes in the last arpeggios, I also changed the stopping method at the end of the piece to be by the right hand as I sometimes hear some noises when I stop by left hand alone.
my target speed for the next week will…[Read more]
This is my week 1 video of Petit Caprice with speed 48 BPM & reading from the notes.
As I mentioned before my target speed will be almost double this speed (in a range of 92 to 100 BPM).
Next video I will try to memorize the notes so I will be able to play with more fluidity ans my target tempo will be 64-72 BPM
I noticed that in the last cord…[Read more]
Wow Rocio, you did a great job,
you have a very nice left hand and you play with high flexibility and nice fingers separation.
I think your goal 16ths notes at 100 bpm is a bit too fast, I will be watching your progress.
Thank you Dave,
Actually when I tried playing with different tempos I found that goal too simple for a month.
So I will definitely change it and make it more challenging.
My new goal will be 92 to 100 BPM by week 4 and I will work hard to reach it with minimum tension.
Wow Kari, Amazing playing.
I really loved this piece especially since watching Laura’s masterclass.
I enjoyed to listening to your playin, you chose a very nice tempo and I liked your phrasing.
Thank you for sharing
To start with, I didn’t know what to choose but I think Petit Caprice will be an excellent choice for me to practice speed for two reasons.
First: I learned most of the pieces of grade 2 although I still need more time to learn them very well. This piece is one of the two pieces that I have never started yet.
Second: It has…[Read more]
Great job Jose,
This is a great start, I can see that you have been improved a lot in just one week and specially your right looks much better now.
Nice sound and sensation of the rhythm, I have just completed grade 1 exam and I think you will be able to do it too,
Best luck with that.
Thank you Denise for sharing,
I will try to take Dave’s comments into consideration as Inam going go continue learning Grade 2 repertoires and get ready for the next exam submission.
You play very well and loved the piece you chose to play.
Good luck with Grade 3.
That was very inspiring, you did a great job with the highest grade exam ^_^
Really loved listening to your playing and would always love to hear more from you.
